AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine is currently in a redevelopment phase which will lead to a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.  The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t/day of ore mined.

 

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as Information Management Service Delivery Manager .

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

The incumbent will be accountable for making sure that the IT service delivery in the allocated country/countries is effective and efficient. The incumbent works with the Global and Regional Information Management resources to ensure that the business/ mine site IT requirements are met within cost and quality benchmarks.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • IM Service Delivery Management for Obuasi
  • Work with the Global/Regional Specialists to implement the country infrastructure and application roadmaps
  • Improve the Obuasi IT support models to achieve the targeted call resolution
  • Guide a team of AGA employees and contractors in order to maintain and improve the operational effectiveness of all IT in the country/site in accordance with agreed SLA
  • Report all IT/OT related metrics to the key business stakeholders on a periodic basis
  • Make sure that all IT services deliver cost effective and quality solutions
  • Manage Information Management Risk at site level
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand business perceptions of IT delivery as well as identify opportunities to improve
  • Identify and consolidates in-country IT and OT demand management
  • Implement all IT, and some OT, changes and projects in the region i.e. virtual desktop solutions, desktop collaboration solutions, reporting, cloud developments, application related improvements
  • Align all regional ITIL processes to the group standards and measures site compliance
  • Implement the required IT/OT Alignment Initiatives
  • Ensure that teams are sufficiently staffed with the correct skill levels

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification

  • Degree / Diploma in IT or its equivalent

Experience 

  • At least over 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge in IT Management (Infrastructure and/or applications)
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in managing IT Resources
